Kodak EasyShare S730 digital picture frame unleashed
Kodak has introduced a digital photo frame dubbed EasyShare S730. This frame may not exactly be an out of the box concept but it features a new Picture Finder function that differentiates it from the others.
This Kodak picture frame changes the way users view their memories. The full screen and slideshow modes allow users to rekindle their memories with ease. Moreover, the Slideshow mode allows users to view images along with a calendar or a clock. The Collage viewing mode scrolls user’s entire collection to display four randomly selected images. A mode button on the top of the frame allows easy toggle between the various viewing modes.
“The new S730 Digital Picture Frame offers exciting new ways to interact with your picture collection,” says Phil Scott, Worldwide Director of Marketing, Digital Capture and Devices and Vice President, Consumer Digital Group. “Kodak digital picture frames have long led the way in enabling consumers to enjoy and show off their pictures and videos without being tied to their computers. The battery-power of the S730 goes further, allowing users to ‘unplug and share,’ putting the frame in people’s hands so everyone can enjoy treasured picture collections and browse through pictures as they would with a photo album. It’s a wonderful way to get your pictures back into your life.”
The rechargeable battery provides one hour of usage time while the 1GB internal memory stores up to 8000 images. The mercury-free LCD panel and Kodak’s patented Color Science technology delivers crisp and clear images in vibrant colors. The Quick Touch Border provides easy access to the touch sensitive controls.
The new Picture Finder feature is available in all viewing modes, Scott explains. “Picture Finder allows consumers to retrieve and relive memories that in some cases may have been forgotten. When users see a compelling picture in the collage, they can select that picture, touch the Picture Finder control, and the frame automatically retrieves and displays more pictures from that date.”
The frame provides plug-and-play operation which allows users to insert a memory card or USB flash drive with digital pictures. Kodak EasyShare digital display software allows users to synchronize the pictures to create slideshows. The frame is also capable of playing videos and adding music to slideshows.
The Kodak EasyShare S730 digital picture frame will be made available in Europe from this June, for a price of EUR 149 (approx. Rs.10,100). The frame will also be made available in the United States and Canada from September at a price of $139 (approx. Rs.6,762). The company also plans to offer a stylish case with a padded interior to protect the frame during presentation. This frame will be available for just $19.99.
