Toshiba redesigns Satellite notebook lineup
Toshiba has revamped its Satellite consumer laptop lineup with amazing new features. Toshiba’s Satellite laptop lineup includes several series like Satellite A, Satellite U, Satellite M and Satellite P.
The Satellite U and Satellite M series laptops deliver great everyday mobility and multimedia performance while the P and A series provide an excellent platform for powering HD entertainment. The newly introduced laptops are eco-friendly and come with greater battery-life. They deliver high quality performance with an array of features.
The new laptops feature a completely redesigned form factor, polished chrome accents and new modern keyboards. The new A, M and P series laptops come with fusion finish with a new sonic pattern in Onyx Black color while the U series laptops feature fashionable textured finish with matrix pattern in Luxe Brown color.
The new features incorporated in the Satellite series laptops include HD widescreen display, sleek and flat keyboard with black matte finish, touchpad with multi-touch control, Toshiba Power-saving Eco Utility button and Toshiba PC Health monitor. The HD TruBrite widescreen display gives a TV-like experience with 16:9 aspect ratio and 720p resolution while the cinematic edge-to-edge display enables concentration on a single task by offering continuous edge between the chrome trim and the glass screen.
Moreover, the illuminating LED backlit provides greater computing time in low-light conditions while the power-saving Eco Utility button enables real time adjustment and monitoring of power consumption and settings.
Users can load their DVDs and CDs in confined places, thanks to the incorporated slot-loading DVD drive that eliminates external moving parts. One can easily scroll through web pages and rotate, zoom into images using the touchpad with multi-touch control.

In addition to this, the Toshiba PC Health monitor keeps an eye on critical components of the laptop like battery performance, heat and hard drive movement and sends alerts for potential problems well in time for the user to take required action.
The earlier incorporated features of these laptops include built-in webcams with Toshiba’s face recognition software, harmon/kardon speakers, LED-illuminated feathertouch multimedia command keys and Toshiba’s innovative eSATA/USB combo ports with USB sleep-and-charge facility. All Toshiba laptops are compatible with ROHS, thereby ensuring that they are eco-friendly.
The Satellite U series includes U500 and U505 laptops that are highly portable with a starting weight of mere 5 pounds. The Satellite M series laptops sport 14-inch HD LED display with hi-fi technology. Like the U series laptops, these laptops also offer high-quality multimedia performance. The Satellite A series is said to be apt for tech enthusiast home users. It bundles up high quality processing, 16-inch diagonal widescreen HD edge-to-edge display on particular models and grill-encased harmon/kardon speakers. The Satellite A500 and A505 laptops are available at $749.99 MSRP (approx. Rs.36,380). The P series laptops bundle up an amazing 18.4-diagonal widescreen HD TruBrite display, grill-encased harmon/kardon speakers and powerful processing muscle.
