Apple Launches iPad Tablet PC

After alot of waiting and sneak peaks apple has finally launched its much awaited tablet pc, the iPad.

Featuring 9.7-inch multi-touch display the iPad will be placed between the smartphone and notebook. Weighing just 1.5 pounds the iPad is powered by A4, Apple’s next generation system-on-a-chop. It be delivering high level of processor and graphics performance with a last longing battery life of 10 hours. Apple’s Advanced Chemistry and adaptive Charging technology deliver about 1000 charge cycle without reducing the battery capacity.

The iPad will also feature builtin iPhoto, iTunes, calendar and adress book. Available in three storage capacity sizes: 12GB, 32Gb and 64GB, it will incorporate built in stereo speaker, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The iPad will comes with a full-sized soft keyboard which connect to the iPad Keyboard Dock to provide full size keyboard. At present the iPad will be available in two version, one with Wi-Fi and the other with Wi-Fi and 3G.

The Tablet PC will comes preloaded with twelve multi-touch application and is capable of running more than 1,40,000 apps available in the Apple stores. Users may import pictures from Macbook, enjoy videos in Youtube, Download ebooks from iBookstore and much more.

Apple has also launched SDK to enable developers to make new applications, test and debug their apps as well as create universal apps for iPhone, iPad and iPod.

Apple has also announced partnership with AT&T to offer the iPad along with 3G plans .The iPad will be available across the Apple stores from late march this year. The 16GB, 32GB and 64GB Wi-Fi models are priced at $499, $599 and $699 respectively.While the Wi-fi cum 3G 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models are priced at $629, $729 and $829 respectively.
