Kingston Launches DataTraveler 310 USB flash drive

Kingston Digital has launched a new flash drive for the US market, dubbed DataTraveler 310. According to the company it will be the first flash drive in US with 256GB storage capacity. The new flash drive will be replacing the DataTraveler 300 which is introduced by the company last year.

The new DataTraveler includes Password Traveler Software which enables the customer to safeguard their personal data stores in the drive. The secure area of the DataTravel 310 accompanies about 90% of the drive capacity. When the drive is not in use users can easily snap on the protective cap which goes on the back when the drive is in use.

The new drive is perfect for users who need to carry big size files along with them. It can easily stores upto 51,000 photos taken from a 10MP camera, or Data taken from 365 CDs each of 700MB capacity, or it can also store data from 54 DVDs of 4.7 GB each. It provides a data transfer rate of 12MB/s write and 25MB/s read.

The Datatraveler 310 USB Flash Drive is available only in 256GB Storage capacity and can be bought at a tag price of $1,108.
