WD launches My Passport Studio Portable Drives for Mac
WD has introduced its new My Passport Studio portable hard drive for the Mac PCs. The new drive comes with FireWire 800 interface and a customizable e-label. The new sleek and stylish looking drive offers automatic and continuous backup with WD SmartWare and 256-bit hardware-based encryption.
The new drive is available in various storage capacities of 320GB, 500GB and 640GB. The drive is mainly designed for the creative professionals and Mac enthusiastic. The e-label smart display on the upper side of the My Passport Drive can be changed using the including WD Smartware software , users can create labels to personalize the drive.
The new My Passport Drive is compatible with Apple TimeMachine software and allows backup of all important files. User can also protect their data stored in the drive using user-selected password along with 256-bit hardware-based encryption.
The New WD My Passport Drives are backed by 3-year limited warranty and are available across major retail outlets with a price starting from $149 for the 500GB model and going upto $199 for the 640GB model.
