Iomega had updates its lineup of portable hard drive with the introduction of new 1TB eGo BlackBelt Mac Edition Portable Hard Drive. The new portable hard drive comes with two FireWire 800 and one USB 2.0 connector.

Kingston has introduced its new 64GB SDXCHS-1 Class 10 memory card. The new memory card is compatible with SDA Memory Card Standard Version 3.01 and UHS-1 which stands for Ultra-High Speed Bus 1.
The new UHS-1 architecture enable the memory card to offer write and read speed of 104MB/sec., and 300MB/sec respectively. It uses exFAT file system and feature CPRM (Content Protection for Recordable Media) copy protection. Hitachi-LG Data Storage has officially revealed the HyDrive , the World’s first Solid State Drive (SSD) embedded Optical Disc Drive (ODD). According to the company, the first generation of HyDrive will be available with 32GB and 64GB SSD capacity and the second generation which will be coming next year will be having upto 256GB SSD and will be having faster SSD performance and will offer SATA6.0Gbps interface. rather than the SATA3.0Gbps.

Corsair has added new 60GB, 120GB and 240GB models to its Force Series of Solid State Drives (SSD). The new drives will also use the same SandForce SF-1200 SSD processor as the former ones. Based on MLC NAND Flash these SSDs uses SATA II interface.
